Procedure for granting a 10% reduction of the EN.F.I.A. for insured persons with Residential Policies.

Pursuant to Decision A.1004/08-01-2024, the details of the residence insurance policies have been sent to the Independent Public Revenue Authority (AADE) and the myPROPERTY platform of the AADE has now been activated. Thus, property owners can apply for a 10% reduction in the ENFIA by 22.02.2024.
The discount is given to individuals for a residence listed in the property data declaration (E9), provided it is fully insured against natural disasters (earthquake, fire, and flood). A reduction in ENFIA is also granted if the recipient of the insurance is a legal person, but the natural person has a right to the insured dwelling.

We remind you that for the calculation of the reconstruction value of the dwelling, the total area of the main and auxiliary premises of the dwelling is taken into account for the Property Identification Number (Α.Τ.ΑΚ.) that constitutes the dwelling. Especially for this year the reconstruction value of the dwelling is set at €900/sqm - not €1,000/sqm as originally envisaged. Specifically, a 10% reduction in the ENFIA is granted in the case of insurance for a period of one (1) year, while for a period of less than one year, which cannot be less than three months, the reduction in the ENFIA is pro-rated.

According to the instructions of the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (A.A.D.E.), insured persons should enter the platform and follow the following steps:

  1. To submit their application until 22.02.2024 via the myPROPERTY application of the A.A.D.E.
  2. Select the Property Identification Number (Α.Τ.ΑΚ.) corresponding to the insured residence and correlate it with the number of the corresponding insurance policy.
  3. If more than one insurance policy is assigned to the same dwelling, the procedure should be repeated for each policy number separately.
  4. If they own other insured dwellings, they should repeat the process for each dwelling.
  5. If there are other co-owners/owners etc., they will have to declare their VAT numbers and the application will have to be proceeded through the platform by the other co-owners with their own codes.
  6. Then the competent management of the A.A.D.E. verifies whether the conditions stipulated by the law are met.
  7. After the application is submitted and by 11.03.2024, the insurance company confirms the corresponding address of the insured residence with the one indicated in the insurance policy.
