What Do We Do in Case of a Traffic Accident?
The daily driving with our vehicle in or out of town is a routine for most of us. But which are the necessary actions that we follow in the case of a car accident?
Necessary actions in case of a traffic accident:
- Immobilize your vehicles at the scene of the accident, without creating additional traffic hazards and taking the necessary traffic safety measures.
- Use your mobile phone to photograph the original positions of the vehicles before they are moved.
- If necessary, call the First Aid (166) and the nearest Police Authority.
- In case that the perpetrator of the accident is Uninsured, a necessary condition is the call to the Police Authority for registration:
• of him being Uninsured
• that he is responsible for the accident. - Call the Accident Care of your insurance company stating the exact location. The Accident Care Associate will go to the scene of the accident to complete the supporting documents (Statement for description of the Accident, Photos, Vehicle License, Driver's License, Eyewitness IDs, etc.) In the second stage, indicate your workshop in case that your vehicle is not moving.
- Inform your insurance intermediary about the car accident, so that he can inform you about the process of managing your compensation.
